Bring the whole family for four days of fun in the sun! While there’s something for everyone to enjoy, the highlight is our parade at 11:00 on Saturday, which draws a crowd of 20,000!! 

Thursday thru Saturday, our beautiful Polk County Courthouse Lawn holds 80 booths providing food, retail products, commercial information and arts & crafts.  Come for shopping, entertainment for all ages, Waterball, the vehicle rescue competition, and so much more!




 



Sunday the focus shifts to our City Park for ‘A Day in the Park’ where you can have Breakfast in the Park, and visit the Car Show with over 400 vehicles!   Across the creek there’s Art in the Park and the Arboretum will give you a tour of the gardens. 

Information, schedules, applications and entry forms will be updated to the website as we draw closer to Summerfest, so please keep checking back!

The 18th Annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series, welcomes Gil Reynolds and Deep Blue with Ben Rice as the Summerfest feature from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Light concessions will be provided, but this week we encourage you to get your meal from one of the Summerfest vendors on the Courthouse Lawn. The concert is located on the Rotary Stage at the Academy area.

The Dallas Fire Department invites you to come to the station to watch the teams battle it out, while they cool the large crowd of kids. A tether high above holds a yellow ball in which teams armed with fire hoses blast away to see which side the balls lands. Hot Dog BBQ benefits the Volunteers Association.

Dallas Fire & EMS is pleased to announce its hosting of the 10th Annual Oregon Vehicle Rescue Competition in Dallas. Teams from the northwest will come to Dallas for Summerfest. A panel of judges will evaluate each team against a set of national standards. Vehicles are set up to recreate actual wrecks. Teams are scored on time, safety and efficiency of rescue.

The Cherry City Cloggers established in 1989, is one of the largest clogging clubs in the Northwest. Our group consists of men, women and children ranging in age from 8 – 90. Clogging, or “hillbilly tap dancing” as we call it, is a fun activity that can be done as a family or solo. We dance to all kinds of music and have lessons and dance every Tuesday evening at the Square Dance Center on 45th Street, in Salem. Beginner classes start Sept 10, 2013. Come on out for Oregon's LARGEST small town parade in historic downtown Dallas! This year we're putting out the masks and Mardi Gras beads in the ‘Mardi Gras Masquerade Parade’ so be sure to dress the part and join in the fun.

As the latest in a series of parades dating back over 100 years, we expect a crowd of about 15,000 people to see our two-mile long procession of over 150 entries! Decorated floats include musical performances, animals, art cars, modern and antique military vehicles, horse-drawn vehicles, collector cars, Kings and Queens, hippies and much, much more! Come downtown early to reserve your spot and enjoy the Kidz Hour activities before the parade.

Annual Rubber Duck Race  back to schedule | back to top
The Dallas Lions Club's annual Rubber Duck race will begin at the Levens Street Bridge and finish at the Main Street Bridge. Buy your duck, ahead of time for $2.00, then watch to see where it finishes! There are several prizes, including the First Place prize of $100 cash.
